Exclamation Transmission Help!!!

My transmission just gave up the ghost in my 92 DX 1.8 SOHC Protege. I know someone who has a transmission for sale beloned to a 93 Protege. Both are automatics. I need to know if the transmission from the 93 will work in the 92. Also just curious to know if Proteges/323's are famous for transmission problems. Much Appreciated.

Thanks

DX to DX swaps for those years (92 and 93) should be no different. however, if one is an LX, forget it. i'm reading chiltons and it states no difference in transmission model numbers for the dx between those years. and to top it off, yes, the tranny's in our protege's are ****. notorious for failure, but still a reliable car.
peace
