Setting Tranny/Throttle Pressure

1990 Protoge, SOHC, automatic tranny.
Have swapped out a slipping tranny for a used tranny with 77K miles on it. Cost: $400. The throttle cable going to the tranny needs to be adjusted to set the correct tranny main pressure (at idle). The Chilton's manual shows a test port on the front left of the tranny, but it is not the right port as it is not pressurized at idle, only in second gear. Does anyone know where the correct port is for setting the idle pressure?
