Pulley System

My friend just got pulleys put on his 2002 jetta (1.8t), he got about 25-30 hp, was this cause of the turbo, or will a pro get the same power...
If anyone knows nething cheaper then unorthodox, lemme know

There was another brand besides unorthodox, but I can't recall the name at the moment. Try doing a search and I am pretty sure you'll find some info on that.

I found this while searching for performance parts:
http://www.indigospeed.com/GTPullies.html
I don't know anything about the company that makes them, but it is a cheaper alternative.

so, what is the utility of that "pulley" ???

is it the pulley connected to the crankshaft ????

also, Where do you attach a supercharger ?? to that pulley?

thanks for answer...

... why does it matter?

UDP Pulley gives power gains by slowing down accessories (less torque waste on spinning them) and lightening the crank weight.

dude, is it that i'm tired or are you an idiot? just kidding... but IF you could find a super charger (which no body makes for our car) and the proper adjustment brackets (which no body makes) and the exact belt length you need (which is a shot in the dark), you might be alright. honestly, at idle, running a super charger (by my basic assumptions of how car engines work) you would actually be robbed of power cause of the strain of running another accessory on the pulley system, but again would give you some power obviously. plus logistically, i don't see where the hell you would mount a super charger under that tiny hood, i tried mounting an air horn and had trouble finding a spot that was next to my factory horn (which happens to be no more than a foot and a half away from the start of the timing belt casing. good ****** luck
peace
