Question Kia Sephia GS BP 96 Wiring Compatible?

Is the wiring from a '96 Sephia GS BP compatible with our Mazdas? Can you run one off a Mazda ECU? Or is it going to be different for OBD-II? I like plug and play stuff.....

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm stupid!! I tried searching, but I couldn't find the answer, but that might be because the search engine is not working, either, d'oh.

If it is OBD-II I don't see it working. It might be the same/similar to the 2nd gen BP hanress, but not the same as an OBD-I 1st gen harness.

There is a good chance that he can use the motor with a 1st gen wire harness and ecu ,...
He would most likely have to use the VAF and the disty from a 1st gen.. doing this will let the motor run and start properly .. I figure the only thing on the motor that he may want to inspect are the VICS solenoids to make sure they are not broken ...
Those things come straight from the dealer and are frigin expensive... I should know

Oh well...I'll worry about it some other time. I'm just going to do the tranny swap for now, I think....

i put a 96 with OBD-II into my 91 EGT. I used the wiring harness and ECU from the 91. You have to change the Throttle Body with the 91 and put it on the new engine cause the sensor from the new engine will not interchange with the 91 wiring harness. Other than that I had no problems
