Fuel Filter question...

Ok, as stated in my post yesterday I went ahead and changed the plug wires this morning....Same problem, starving for gas at idle....Bought a fuel filter while I was at auto parts store....
Good job Mazda! Why did you put the fuel filter in such a hard place to get to???

How in the heck does one get any tools down there to take the old one off???

Sorry about that, it's a 92....
I'll check the pleats first, would be nice if that was it...

What I mean by "starvation" is... At a dead stop, it runs fine in P,R,N but as soon as I put it in drive the RPM's go way down, 400 I think, then it eventually dies....

Lightbulb Problem found!!!

Like the suggestion stated...I went and checked the intake hose....BAM! I found a nasty crack in between one of the pleats, facing down.....Had my wife get in the car and put 'er in drive.
When it started to die I held the hose closed where the crack is....Fired right back up and idled fine....Took my hands off the hose and it wanted to die....Problem found!
Thanks to everyone for their priceless knowledge
and help

Sure wished a local autopart store sold them, called all the ones in the phonebook and no one carrys them....I'm sure the dealer is gonna bend me over tomorrow when I go there...

Thanks again Everyone!
James
