You have two options: Rebuild your motor (although the '90 isn't the best choice due to crank issues) as a turbo motor. You can get a manifold and turbo from a 323 GTX (JDM) and build your own or,
you can just buy the whole motor (also JDM).

You could also build up a motor using one of Braden's kits (www.BLT.com).

For your tranny. If you've got it out of the car, with that many miles, it's not a bad idea to rebuild it, put in a Quaiffe LSD, and maybe a 626 5th gear (for higheer top speed an better fuel economy).

allright im gonna attempt the swap over to the GTX BPT and was just wondering what im gonna have to do...........well make sure im aware of everything. So i have a 90 SE i know im gonna have to switch out the axles from an LX (does it matter what year or any from 90-94), the tranny from an LX (also does year matter?),
and the ECU from a GTX is that really all im gonna be in for or is it alot more complicated than that? I know of course things like the motor mounts might need to be fabricated and small things like that...but anything else? That might cut deeply into my pocket.
im gonna have around 2500 to spend on my car here in about 1-2 months but if its gonna cost up to 2500 then i might as well take it somewhere and let a shop deal with everything. but would appreciate any feedback.

i think ill spend only 200-400 on a FMIC. if i can find good deals at the junkyards here. The piping shouldnt be too hard to do it on my own......im probably wrong tho, but ill have the car in my garage for a few months to do this so ill just do everything on my own. Or at least attempt to. but thanks for the info. Man this is gonna cost a little more than i thought. but well worth it!

you can also find a good starion fmic on ebay. i bought mine on their for like 140 or so. id check there. since the starion comes with a fmic stock and it wasnt ungodly huge i went with that. now im just gonna wait about a year and get a new manifold and a new turbo then install them along with the fmic. just check ebay for a good fmic is all im saying.
