Question Emergency question about trannys

Does the SOHC and DOHC have the same transmission since they're both BPs?

The Centerforce clutch sizes are listed as follows:

SOHC 2WD: 200mm, 20spline

DOHC 2WD: 215mm, 22spline

DOHC 4WD: 225mm, 22spline

I now have the SOHC. I will be installing a BPT in approximately 1 1/2 weeks. Please tell me there is some way of making the tranny on my SOHC work on a DOHC! Can the flywheel in my SOHC tranny be switched for one that matches up with the BPT clutch? Or, will the flywheel on my SOHC fit on the BPT? If anyone knows this, or knows where I can get an awnser, the sooner you can tell me the better. I have to get this tranny situation resolved in the next week.

Thanks!!

Time and money constraints will probably lead to me using the weaker tranny for the time being... I need to keep as much money as possible to make sure the engine runs right in the first place, not to mention that I have to dish out 600$ on a clutch, too...

I WILL be getting the stronger tranny later on down the line for sure though.

So what do I do to fit the DOHC clutch on my SOHC tranny? Just get the DOHC flywheel and switch it?

Thanks

In order to use your stock tranny.... i *think* the idea would be to put your SOHC flwheel on the BPT, so that you can use your stock clutch as well.
