How about in the Protege 90 ? Where is the computer located? I did and engine swap and now I got a twin cam under my hood on my 323 hatchback. But the last step is to swap the computer too and I'm not sure where they are........

Please help anybody !!!!

Keep up the good torque

It's the passive seat belt controller.

Well I'm still working on a few details like engine codes. I had like 4 different codes. Now I'm down to one but this one is giving me a hard time. Does any body know about the "G" signal from the distributor to the computer ? I can not remember how it is supost to work. I need to check the circuit and I got the diagram and everything! one cable goes to ground, the other one to the computer and the other one to the main relay. There is also a NE signal from the distributor too if that rings any bells ?? The car runs, but it runs like crap, I think it has something to do with the timing, I'm goin to work on the car today.

To answer your questions I bougth the engine from a junkyard with warranty just in case. I payed $350 And I pulled it out my self. I had to get the throttle body from another engine because the one I got was from an automatic and the TPS conection is different. Also I got the distributor from a Ford Escort GT same year 1990. It didn't have one. I had no problems with the rest. Every thing fits perfectly. I am using my trainy from the old engine, by the way I got a 5 speed stick shift. I used the same flywheel and clutch too.

All I can tell is that this engine seems to be very.......very strong combined with a lite weight car.......... you do the math.........

Keep up the goog torque !!!!
