dohc or sohc

I always thought my 93 dx was a sohc.How do I tell,it says 16 valve on the cover.

What is considered fast for sohc times and top speed?

15.78 and have topped 144

So, is that top speed off the speedo with the 205/50-14 tires? And a peak speed with N2O, not sustained. Without some assist (turbo, N2O), there's no way any Protege can do 144 mph.

And I'll assume that the 15.78 is sprayin' with slicks.
