deepest muffler

i was wondering, who knows what muffler has the deepest tone to it. i am getting a custom 2.25in exhaust made, but want a nice, deep muffler for it. how 'bout the magnaflow? any comments? also, i'd like to stay away from just single tip, i like dual tips, DTM included.

i honestly dont know of any dual tip exhausts that are deep sounding. most single tip exhausts produce a deeper sound because of the larger chamber.

i would check with www.nopionline.com for the type of exhaust your looking for.

Sport Exhaust

The Sport Exhaust has a deep humm, but its not loud. Its 90% comparable with the sound it makes if you take out the muffler.

What does having a Civic have to do with the way the exhaust sounds? I know of many Civics that have a nice souding exhaust. For example, my friend has a '97 EX with a full Thermal Exhaust and it sounds really nice. The best I've heard.

Everybody knows that Civics tend (or maybe people tend to make the civic) to sound like it has a cracked pipe, like if you yell at a big export sodas aluminum CAN and tooo LOUUUD.

The only civics I like the sound is the Civic Si....awesome with any muffler.

Our cars tend to have a deeper sound.

I put a Borla muffler on my Pro recently. It's an oem muffler for the Escort ZX2 S/R .... very deep and aggressive tone! Read more about it here in this thread:

do the ansa's sound nice? do they have a nice deep tone? also, would getting a 2.25in pipe make much of a difference over stock diameter? i was thinking i might just get that borla zx2 muffler and slap it on. which way do you all think is better...stock pipe and zx2 muffler or a 2.25in custom piping with prolly a magnaflow muffler?

probably the worst thing, but still works

instead of going full cat back on my 94 lx, i just went to meineke and had a flowmaster muffler put on my car, and let me tell you, it sounds loud, deep, and gives an 'illusion' of power as i like to say... at least while you're in the car. from what i've done, i can honestly say that it does give it a nice, clean, healthy sound and tends to give you a headache after driving more than a half hour of high rpm/jack-rabbit like accelerations and stop and go traffic. but i had my friend drive my car around a parking lot around here, busting about 55 mph in one stretch, and that thing does roar, but it still sounds like 'rice'. and by the civic's or more typically a CRX's sound, those idiots literally make it sound like a 2000 pound weed whacker by throwing on 4 inch, and i've even seen 5 inch tips, and they sound like ****, and no matter what you do, whether you do a full exhaust... ie highflow muffler, 2.25 or 2.5 inch piping, high flow cat, and headers, you still get that nasty sound when you let off the accelerator.... any fix for that?
