bp06 ecu!!!

will a bp06 ecu work with a gtx 1.8L Dohc engine? i have contacted a seller, and he is claiming that this will work with gtx, i am just double checking, all i want is the stock ecu for the gtx engine. if this isnt it, does anybody know the stock ecu code for the 1.8L DOHC turbo (170Hp) gtx engine.

AFAIK the BP26 Ecu is the correct ECU to use for the 1.8L GTX Motor. This is the Japan ECU which is the one that mates to the motors that come with VJ-20's. The BP06 may be a turbo ECU but it may be Australian or European (less power). I would check with the tx-3 guys.

Will this work? I know the applications guide only shows that it works with the rx7 and miata, but I don't see why we can't adapt it to our own engines, what with the similarity between the BPT and the miata engine... There's no price, it's prolly expensive.... How much does the BP26 go for? I want a BPT now, so I just need a to find a cheap ECU. A guy in my area seems to have the cheapest engine... The thing about this AEM thing is that it can be re-programmed, which interests me since I'd like to switch the turbo and raise the boost later on down the line and I have a feeling the stock ECU would'nt like that... Mine freaks out just cauz I've got an aftermarket intake on...sheesh!!!
