The "best" gearbox for our first gens is going to be the one out of the Protege LX, G5M-R (90-91), or G25M-R(92-94)
There is an off the shelf LSD, available from corksport, but it is $1400.
I have heard whisperings that you can adapt the Mazdaspeed LSD (from 2003 mazdaspeed protege) to ours, but with a little bit of work. I'm not sure how feasable that is. It should be about $400. There are also some other LSDs but I'm not sure of their quality.
What were you planning on doing?
