The "best" gearbox for our first gens is going to be the one out of the Protege LX, G5M-R (90-91), or G25M-R(92-94)

There is an off the shelf LSD, available from corksport, but it is $1400. I have heard whisperings that you can adapt the Mazdaspeed LSD (from 2003 mazdaspeed protege) to ours, but with a little bit of work. I'm not sure how feasable that is. It should be about $400. There are also some other LSDs but I'm not sure of their quality.

What were you planning on doing?

My gearbox is destroyed and I've already cut two axles. I'm trying to rectify this problem. Which vehicle comes with the IIRC?
