alright whats with my belts, well thats what I am assuming it is.
In the cold and/or wet weather, my car is so loud at idle, like not screaming but noticeable. Any ideas/solutions?

 

replace the belts. if it still makes a noise your alternator is going bad.
since its not loud, you could try some belt-dressing. but i would still replace the belt when you can.

 

just as said, replace the belts if they look worn, cracked, or glazed over, eitherwise, you'll have to adjust the tensioners.. and also, you should find out which belt is causing the squeeling to get a better idea.

what belts are there in a first gen??

 

alternator and an A/C / power steering belt, something like that. Just look, there are 2 of them.
