is the 1991 DX sohc the same as the 1990 LX sohc??

SE and DX are both single overhead cam style engines, the 4WD is also SOHC. LX's are DOHC. not single.

so no there is no LX SOHC unless someone did either an engine swap or the power package swap.

In Canada, the SOHC was used in all models except the GT, which shares the same DOHC motor as the US model LX. So yes, the LX and DX are the same motor in Canada.
