1.8 sohc

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if I can swap a 1.8 sohc into my 90' 323? What changes will have to be made to ECU,trans. ect....
I know, the 1.8 dohc will be recomended by almost everyone, but the sohc is FREE. I will be doing some head work (I plan rebuilding it), intake, exhaust, timing. I dont want to mess with turbos, SC's.
My main goal is to make a good handling car with alittle more power than stock, maybe 100-110 whp.

Thanks
Buster
