everyone!
After reading the FAQs, I'd like to get a confirmation on something. Copied below is the information from the FAQs. Am I correct in saying only the one's I've put in bold are the colors that have been available ONLY on the Protege5 model (the other colors being those on the regular 3rd Gen. Protege, MP3 or MazdaSpeed models)?
Have I missed any or listed any that I shouldn't have?
Thanks!

the yellow up in Canada is called Sunburst Yellow (HZ). I thought it really was a limited colour, but I think that its making regular production for P5s....or maybe it is limited....anyone know for sure?

According to the info. copied above, you're right on both accounts (non-US, and limited status):

Of course I wouldn't call Canada "overseas."
However, I wonder if the Vivid/Sunburst Yellow is simply a color that was only produced for a limited time. I know in the Miata world there are colors that are what I call "half year colors." Usually produced in the later half of the model year.
It appears that the Lazer Blue is that way. We're in the process of trying to buy a LB '03 that is equipped with leather. Now I notice on the "Build" section of Mazda's website that one can no longer "build" a LB equipped with leather.
There certainly appears to be fewer Yellows and Lazer Blues available. I'm just not sure if it's a production availability, or supply/demand availability issue.
Sunburst Yellow is definitely NOT any type of limited production thing. The last time I drove for any length of time on the highway, I must've seen a dozen. I tend to notice every protege on the road too, because ever since I've got mine it seems that everyone else has one now.

hehe my bad, skimmed and only caught the bold parts...I also checked the colours for 2003 models, and yellow is in the mix...no chance of it being a limited colour

Originally posted by 90&00 Protege Protege-5 for north america had:
2002: Classic Red, Midnight Blue, Sunburst / Vivid Yellow, Black Mica, Sunlight Silver, and the late arrival (after almost a year's sales...being as the car came out in April 2001) Pure White.
2003: Add Laser Blue
The other colours were Protege colours...some dropped between the 1999-2000 and 2001-2003 models.
Don't forget the Sunlight Silver! That one I know is on the P5 as it was our #3 choice.
Classic Red is not a Protege5-specific color by any stretch. The Protege sedan was available in this color from 1990 until 2000 (my 99 ES is Classic Red) although it seems to be a fairly uncommon color choice for those years.
Classic Red has also been used on the 90-03 Miata, 89-91 FC RX-7, 93-95 FD RX-7, 93-97 MX-6, 92-96 MX-3 and 99-01 MPV. I've owned 2 Classic Red Miatas, making the Protege the 3rd consecutive car I've bought that's a Classic Red Mazda!

Clarification: I wasn't looking for colors "only on the Protege5," rather looking for the "only colors that have been on the Protege5".... and making sure I was getting the correct versions of white, silver, etc. Sorry about that.
BTW, we just came home with our new addition to the family.
'03 Lazer Blue , black leather, sun roof, 6-disc, ABS, side air bags, polished wheels & locks, grins ear-to-ear also came with the deal.
