just wondering if i'll be ok fitting a 215/45/17 tires on 17" rims with an offset of +45. this is a canadian car (don't know if that makes a difference) and it's running on stock suspension. thanks in advance!

What's the wheel width? They should fit.
But, if you lower it, the diameter of a 215/45 is about an inch larger than a 215/40, so I'm wondering if that may be a future concern. If you are thinking of lowering the car I'd go with a 215/40. That's assuming I did the math correctly. Anyone?

if he's at 17x7 on a +45 offset, he can get away with a 215 tire. the 45 is as tall as the msp, so unless you go dramatically low, i don't see there to be any problems. the 45 will improve ride quality at the sacrifice of stiffness, but 215/40 is pretty darn thin.
however, at 17x7.5, you might have problems rubbing.
if you are going to stay stock height, you shouldn't have any problems. i was running a 17x7 on 205/40 but with only a +42 offset, lowered on eibachs. i only had problems when i had 4 people in the car and the two heavy people were in back, and even then, it was the slightest rub. it was hard to see where on the tire it rubbed, but you could definitely hear it.
