Question will this work?

Ok...after reading all the info I can get my hands on, including doing a search and reading the fitment guide, I just want to confirm that this will work before I waste my money...

rims: 17x7 42 offset
tires: 215/40/17

I know the guide said 45 or higher, but I have a sedan, and the guide said that the offset on the sedan can be 2 to 3 mm less. Any comment, critique, etc. is appreciated!

If you don't lower the car, it should be ok. If you plan on lowering, then perhaps go with a 205 series tire and a larger offset if possible, but it still might work

I don't plan on lowering...if I don't, would a 205 tire work better?
