Im actually going to do the same thing with my Pro sedan. I asked someone a couple days ago about the proper fitment and offset for an 18 inch wheel and he told it would best to go with a 215/35/18 or 225/30/18 tire (if I remember correctly). The offset should be around 45-48 because anything other than that will cause rubbing if you have a heavy load in the back or if your car is lowered a lot.
on a similar note ...
i dont know mutch about cars. i got my 3002p lx with the standard 15"s . what do you think would be a rough estimate of cost for movin up to 17"s or 18"s. meaning i would have to buy new wheels and rims. i know it all depends on the brand. but hou about an average.

like you said, depends on the brand. I got a set of TSW Rims from Discount tire for $161 a whell so about $624 for the set, then add on some tires, mine were performance, for about $285 a pop you get $1,140 for tires, add it all up and your looking at about $1,764. If you go with Discount Tire get the certificates, this way when you blow a tire they replace it for free, all you have to pay is a new certificate and disposal fee for the old tire, which is about 45, not bad considering the tire they'll be replacing is worth 6 times as much. Too bad they don't have that for wheels. So I say average is about 2K for somthing nice. If you want somthing really nice you can spend 2k on just the wheels alone.
To run an 18X7.5 while lowered, you'll need a +48 offset.
jp88, have you looked at Rota wheels? I had a set of 17" sub zeros that looked pretty damn sweet. Rotas are light, strong and inexpensive.
I got an insane deal on my Volks or I'd still be on the SubZeros!
EDIT: Can ANYONE post a pic on this site, or is it completely ghetto now?

And then to run the same specs (18x7.5) on a sedan, +45 is the minimum. Thats what I ended up getting when I purchased my wheels and tires.
