Hey. Are there many other Protege owners on these boards from Sask? I know KrisA is from Regina too but he doesn't reply to Private Messages

Edit - I've noticed lots of nice Protege's here, most of them being 5's. Most ES GT's I see are driven by older people.
Have you done any mods to your car performance wise? I love my Protege but want more power. I know that there is lots out there (intake, cams, exhaust, etc) but I think I'll wait a couple of years before modifying the Protege. Mods to the MR2 will likely come first, or I might just save some $ for an RX-8.
Have you tried auto-x? I think I'll do some this summer. QCMA has events at both the Lawson and at Kings Park. I'm leary of doing the events at Kings Park as the last thing I need is to run my MR2 into a wall. Apparently it almost happened to a guy in his (kick ***) VW Cabrio, since then he has not done any of the Kings Park events. I will try to do the Lawson events assuming the courses are big enough, I want courses that I can run all in second gear or up as down shifting from 2-1 at speed it horrible for your tranny.

Nope, no autocross for me. I have an automatic
so I never really considered it as a choice. I'm not really into racing anyway.
Mods, well besides stereo I haven't done anything. I have an AEM intake sitting in my basement right now but it is much too cold to install it. I want to keep as much warranty as possible so I won't be doing anything much for a while. Even exhaust is probably at least a year away.
My car is getting thrashed on SoundDomain right now. Somehow it got thrown into the top 10 so now a bunch of V8 loving ****** are voting it down because it is a 4 banger. Apparently they don't think too much of my stereo either because that has dropped significantly too.
