January 5th Meet A Go!

Ok, so I've got 3 people including myself confirmed for the Jan 5th meet. Please only reply if you can make it, just so I know how many to expect.

So far, it's myself, protege52nr, and pr5owner. I'm kind of making a list, so if you could just reply that you're for sure able to make it, that'd be great.

Hope to see you all there!

Details:

Sunday, January 5th, 10:00am, McMahon Stadium east parking lot. (Heading south on Crowchild, it's the last entrance on the right.) For all who attended the last meet there, it's the same spot.

Bring your car, and food of some type if you'd like... I'm sure we'll be hungry...

mesoh December-18th-2002 01:16 PM

unless it dumps in the mountains, i will be there

Hong Kong Fever December-18th-2002 04:52 PM

yeah Ill be in as long as the streets arent slippery and full of snow. Knowing me Ill probably mess up the location, so yeah Ill probs go do my little drive down there to make sure I get the right one. Is the entrance near the sign in the front of McMahon. Dont go down there often enough to know which one. :p

Broich December-18th-2002 06:25 PM

far ahead but...

It's far ahead, but sounds like a plan.

Snype451 December-18th-2002 07:18 PM

I can't get to the one on the 21st so, I'll be there...

Maxx Mazda December-19th-2002 11:27 AM

Cool! So 6 people confirmed so far!

Myself, Broich, pr5owner, Mesoh, Snype451, and protege52nr.

See you all there!

What would be a good thing for food? I know at our first meet, Dion brought some good ass cookies, but what about everyone else? I'll bring a 12 pack of Coke, and maybe a bag of chips or something, but it's going to be 10:00 am... Does anyone else eat chips and pop that early? LOL! Anyway, suggestions would be cool. Not a banquet, but just something to nibble on for awhile...

90210brandon December-19th-2002 12:41 PM

Someone bring a box of TIMBITS. They always go down well.

Hong Kong Fever December-19th-2002 11:35 PM

The coke sounds good Maxx, Ill drop by Timmies in the morning for Timbits cuz its just up my street.

I'm pretty sure i could make that.

Hong Kong Fever December-25th-2002 08:58 PM

What Protege do you have?

pr5owner December-25th-2002 09:55 PM

i got prices for protege club cards (mass production)

i can fit 14 Cards on 1 sheet of 8½x11, but the problem is that normal plain white paper is kinda crappy for makeing cards out of. you can also lamanate the paper to make it a little more stiff but that will cost you some mula. its 1 dollar/page in color @ kinko's w/o the lamanate stuff.

kinko says they can print those cards on thick paper (business card paper) and i can get 50 of them for 30 bux, sounds like a rip off but they are useing full color and heavy paper.

can anyone get a cheaper price?

sunshine December-25th-2002 10:36 PM

I have a 2002 mp5 -- sunburst yellow

sunshine December-25th-2002 10:39 PM

Hey pr5owner...you could try office depot, they do laminating and have thick paper as well.

Hong Kong Fever December-26th-2002 12:21 AM

I know some people in my school that have the thick thick paper stuff that is made of plastic. They use it to make *cough* IDs *cough* which I have no part of. The only thing is that they print it on some sticky glossy paper and then paste it on. However, the ink does fade so we would have to find a way to keep it on. BTW we should try to finalize some sort of core group, get together a sample card, and begin registration of members you know all the club stuff.

First things first. Start small, remember. The first meet, was good, now the second, don't get ahead of yourselves. Things will work out, be patient.

Hong Kong Fever December-27th-2002 08:35 PM

Where can I pick up the aftermarket spark plug wires?? I went by North Hill Mazda and called Sunridge, both of which claim they cant get it in. So Ive contacted Impressionz and they tell me that they can get me a price on Monday when everyone is open. Em, you said it was 80 bucks or so right? Does Kramer have them?

BTW what are we gonna do about membership cards or a emblem? Ne1 want to take a stab at it?

What kind of wires are you looking for. I got the sparco ones and they are nice (you can order online).

as for the cards and an emblem. I think we should establis the base people first (as Dion has suggested) then we can see what the interest is.

The nice thing about Chinook is that it has covered parking so we can stay warm and out of the snow. Last time I checked at sunridge, its all open air parking.

If you want central, and don't care on cost, then any parking lot downtown. Personally, I would rather NOT pay.

Hong Kong Fever December-29th-2002 01:43 PM

True True...

Funky Buddha December-29th-2002 03:50 PM

The Erlton train station parking lot is pretty empty all the time. Lotsa trees, and quite open too. I don't know about lighting though.

Maxx Mazda December-29th-2002 05:22 PM

My Girl ain't on the board, so Sunshine isn't "her."

Hong Kong Fever December-29th-2002 05:31 PM

pr5owner December-29th-2002 06:16 PM

Hong Kong Fever December-31st-2002 12:52 AM

MEET!!!

OK everyone, lets pick a place and make sure that we are all up to speed on the time. So far we have McMahon at 10 AM on Sunday...now Em recommended Chinook since its underground and warm, so are we going to have a venue change or what? And whats the deal with the food?

I think we shoudl keep the McMahon stadium for now. Lets see how it goes. Here is the weather:

Sunday, Jan 5
Cloudy
High 7°C Low -4°C Wind 30 km/h W P.O.P 30%

If it doesn't work out, we can look at Chinook in the future.

As for food. if you feel so inclined bring some to share.

B

Maxx Mazda December-31st-2002 01:13 AM

Let's all meet at McMahon for now, and if we get cold, we'll all take a drive to a warm spot and have the meet there.

90210brandon December-31st-2002 10:48 AM

Good work guys! Stick with it. Make people come to you/the club meets. If they're really interested they will come. Maybe change the area once 'you' are all together physically and not just here. Someone bring some hot chocolate too.

The good thing about doing a meet now; you get to find out who is serious and who is just along for the 'ride'. It is one thing to talk big but will you 'act' big too?

I know it is easy for me too say from over here, I just want everything to go well for 'you' guys. Unfortunately for me, 'they' don't really need my help here. Let 'us' know how everything goes there; I enjoy reading about it. Hope 'you' guys don't mind and outside intruder. Well Nick and Em will probably have something to say...yah...bring it...come on. Hehe.

Has anyone noticed I 'talk' in quotes alot?:D
