If there's a big fire for me.. I'll be out there .. don't you worry..

I'm going out to the parents acerage this weekend.. going to see if I can get a bunch of free wood.. free wood is easy.... free cut up firewood is next to impossible.. but I'll see what I can do..

Speaking of wrecking the inside of my car with firewood.. Do the mazda cargo mats have holes in them for the lil (here i go getting technical again) hooky thingies? How much are they?

cargo tray

Hey Fraay,

I believe that you have to cut slots in the tray for the tie-downs to pull through. There are wells in the mat specifically for this purpose but Mazda leave it up to you to cut the tray. I guess some people don't bother poking the tie downs through either the carpet or these trays.

More choices.

Protege_Cat and I have the Cargo Net and love it. Sorry I have no prices. Perhaps Neuromancer can give yo a deal, it seems he is sweet on you anyhow. :D

Yeah I use bungy cords to tie down my storage bin in the back.. I just want to avoid wrecking my carpet.. although.. its a camping car.. it's going to get destroyed regardless :)

As for Neuromancer.. I think I'm the last to know.. except for maybe Neuromancer himself... :)

I think you are thinking of the wrong person. That would be Jim from Jarman (Mazda44)...and I have no idea if he is sweet on anybody...aside me. He's my bitch :)

I've got a cargo net and I think it is in the $25 range.

I built my own mat for about 20bux. Went to Canadian tire and bough rubber floor mat by the foot. The have one size that is just the perfect width. Cut it to shape and away you go. That's if you want the ghetto $20 fix... ;)

And you know I didn't realize I was sweet on ya ;)

Ghetto fix is cool too...

Yeah I didn't think either of us realized you were sweet on me.. thats why I figured I was last to know next to you.. but.. hey.. if thats the case.. you can send the flowers and chocolates directly to my work.. of course you have a much better chance of winning me over by sending practical gifts.. like a cargo mat.. winter rims, or cold hard cash :)

apology

My apologies to both fraay and neuromancer. I was wrong it was indeed MAZDA44 from the roof rack thread who I thought was sweet on fraay for offering her a deal...

At any rate I am a big enough man (some have said huge and get yer minds outta the gutter) to admit when I am wrong.

Sorry guys! And I hope I didn't cause any kind of trouble with your respective mates/significant others.

I am deeply offended, and it will take years for me to heal. :)

No problem.

Dawn, don't worry about cut wood...I've got a great big axe great for splitting wood in the trunk...just wood is fine...so long as it's dry.

Okay I'll bite, why would you want to split wood in your trunk???? I think that would do some damage. :D

Huge huh.. call me.. we'll hook up.. :)

Mazda44 is just a really nice guy.. all the guys on this board are taken.. so there's no chance of me getting any action.. but the flirting is fun anyways :)

Jay (neuro - too many jays!).. I work across the parking lot from Jason.. (sandman) in St Albert.. at a web place..

90&00 Protege - Ok.. I'll see what I can snag off the acerage.. with the fire ban most of the year.. and all the deadfall from the late winter.. my dad probably hasn't had time to burn it all off..

skyhawk174 September-25th-2002 04:52 PM

Hey fraay, I have a cargo mat and I love it. No ghetto for me sorry :( . Yes indeed you do have to cut some slots for the tie down points but you can still use it without doing that if it is an infrequent thing.

I think the price is around $75 from Mazda. Jim should be able to give you a price.

By the way, I ordered my winter rims from Jim already so I'll let you know how they look so you will know what kind of birthday gift to ask for. :D

$75 bux for a cargo mat.. thats not bad.. thats less then a cupholder! :).. think I'll hafta order me one of those..

And rims.. I got a 'sort of' price this morning from Jim on rims..and thought the price was pretty insane.. since I heard that they look ugly.. maybe I heard wrong??
