i'm here. just registered as i'm trying to learn as much about the car as i can.

i'm new to mazdas and just bought a P5 about a month ago.

black mica
5MT

A/C

haven't really done anything to it yet. put the moonroof deflector and aluminum pedals on it. pulled all the dealer logo crap off of it. would like to lower it and paint the brake calipers at some point when i get time.

i'm in kensington right now but moving to millrise in august.

thanks.

yeah, i'm digging through posts seeing what people have done and seeing what works and what doesn't.

do you know any shops in calgary that are helpful? i'm considering some engine mods but nothing major and nothing that'll completely screw my warranty.

i guess eventually i'd like to:

paint calipers (i'll just do that myself)
lower
new rims
intake
exhaust (without the annoying dremmel muffler whuch might be a stretch).

hell, i doubt i'll get the chance to do much of anything. mortgage and all.

anyway, seems like a cool place. i've been looking for a good forum for the car since i bought it.

In terms of forums, this is probably the best I've found so far for the Pro.

Man - we should just all meet at a mall parking lot after 9pm so we can meet and see what we have done to our cars. By the looks of this forum we should be able to get 30 cars there easy!

I like the parking lot idea...but if we meet at 2100 hours, then that only leaves about 45 minutes of daylight left. I'm sure that we'd be fine meeting a little earlier in a less busy mall. That's why I suggested Brentwood mall....big parking lot by blockbuster there, and it's never really full.

But if somebody knows of a more central location, I'm up for meeting anywhere!

What about McMahon Stadium Parking lot ( on a day that there is no game of course) Huge parking lot - tons of space. Let me know what you Calgarians think - On a Sat or a Sun or a week nite ?- we could meet there around 7:30 or so.

Which side of McMahon's? Crowchild side or University Drive side?

That sounds like a good place to meet! It's like 2 minutes away from my apartment now!!

Weekend, weekday, whatever. I'm up for any night really!
Let's do this thing!!!!

Ok, I guess I'll spearhead this little effort. Sounds like the McMahon lot is a good idea, but we need a few people there to make it worth it. So, on that note, if you're interested, please send me an email here and I'll set up all the details, and get back to everyone. I'll keep the progress up to date here, but I'm thinking even if we just got like 4 people confirmed, it'd still be cool. So, if you are interested, drop me an email and I'll reply with the date and time, etc. Are you guys and gals more partial to a weekend or a weeknight?
