Richard...post whore! Haha, kidding man! :D

pr5owner July-8th-2003 10:15 AM

excelent, now i can make it!

Maxx Mazda July-8th-2003 10:42 AM

Sounds tight! I'm glad we've (tentatively) picked the nordic center! So, if you're looking for a contact for the CPC, I guess either myself or Emmanuel (pr5owner) would be your best bet. Count us in! :D

90210brandon July-8th-2003 11:57 AM

Don't forget: I'll mention it to the Vancouver club to Maxx.

Funky Buddha July-8th-2003 04:43 PM

August 16th sounds good to me!

Orcala July-8th-2003 04:59 PM

re: date change

Please everyone visit the site's news for an update on the date and FINAL details for MITM 2003.

Due to circumstances beyond my control (the contact I had at the Nordic Center was mis-informed about the date we talked about and just "forgot" to tell me they were booked on the 16th) the date has been permanently set to ***August 23rd, 2003***...my Birthday >(

Please follow the instructions I posted in the NEWS section and we will get this finalized.

Thank you so much for your patience I truly appreciate it.

PEACE

skyhawk174 July-8th-2003 05:02 PM

The info is now on our EPC site and several of us are interested.
It would be good to see Dion again.

Isn't it funny that you would normally try to go as a group in a car to save on gas but in this case you want more cars. Okay maybe it's just me that thinks that this is funny :)

Hong Kong Fever July-8th-2003 09:13 PM

Im in :D

Maxx Mazda July-8th-2003 11:31 PM

So, do we get the Nordic Center?

Orcala July-8th-2003 11:42 PM

Yeah man, we got the Nordic Center booked....the only thing I am trying to work out is a catering service to do a BBQ for us.

This will require you guys to pay a small fee, but it's worth it ;)

I'd totally be down with that.

Orcala July-9th-2003 12:27 AM

Now the better question is whether EVERY SINGLE PERSON FROM EVERY SINGLE CLUB PLANNING ON COMING down with paying on advance....

They are most likely going to want cash up front, and I am not getting stuck with a $500 catering bill. Not cool.

I hope everyone else is cool with this ;)

90210brandon July-9th-2003 10:36 AM

Hey Orcala, do you take PayPal. Many people including myself can pay that way. Not to mention it's easier than 3.141592653.

Additionally, can 'we' call the Nordic Centre and confirm that the event is book and paid for, just to make sure that our money was used for what we paid for. Thanks.

Sure man, as soon as everything is confirmed on my end, you can guys are free to call both places...I am still waiting to find a suitable catering service. One that will do a giant BBQ for all participants.

Also, can you guys please start posting what I instructed on the website? I need to get a good confirmed list in terms of numbers otherwise I have no idea how much to charge for food.

That's alright about the BBQ. I understand how hard it is to organize something of that magnitude. Letting everyone fend for themselves, I believe, is the right idea. Who knows, lets get the ball rolling and see if we can make a MITM #2? Well, lets deal with the first one. :D If I am the only one from BC, count me in. See ya on the 23rd! Come on Chris, Nick, and all you other bums that want something to do with the car! I truely would like to see the CPC and EPC together again. Maybe, I can make up the 'BCPC'?

Orange July-11th-2003 06:19 PM

Orcala, do you still need the info of attendees now that we are not getting catering? In any case, here you go ...

Unfortunately, I won't be able to join the cruise. Let us know what interesting routes you found (and grub along the way ...)

Thanks for organizing this!

Hey Dion

Is that your political affiliation?

We are trying to make it and are trying to change our holidays so that we can come so that is why we have not responded as yet. Speaking of which we will be in your neck of the woods next month so maybe we can hook up.

When are you coming down to Calgary next? If you're for sure going to MITM, is it faster for you to go through Jasper or something, or do you just bust down to Calgary and take Highway 1 all the way?

I'm assuming the CPC will be convoying, so if you or any other EPC members would like to join, we'd be happy to have you!

skyhawk174 July-23rd-2003 09:16 PM

Now there's a plan. That would be pretty cool having the convoy. At the Edmonton BBQ we had 13 P5s in a line. I wonder how many we can get from Calgary?

Jasper is the LONG way around :)

I'll be coming up Highway 2, but not sure if I'll come through Calgary or not.

On the saturday the Edmonton and Calargy clubs should hook up and do a cruise.

Traveling with 13 P5's sure got us looks last weekend.

Funky Buddha July-24th-2003 02:08 AM

A cruise will definitely be very nice. If we're all meeting the EPC members, we should definitely pick a spot to meet. Hmm...preferably near the NW since we're gonna be headed that way towards Banff/Canmore anyways.

Orcala July-24th-2003 10:16 AM

I am leaving for New Orleans today so I will not be able to check any of the forums or update the website for a week, sorry.

However, the latest status is still a meet at the Nordic Center just after lunch, a show and shine for a while...(yes, the parking lot is gravel, but it is definitely our only option, we will simply have to be very cautious and drive slowly...but you guys all do that anyways :P) then a mountain cruise down through Highway 40, right in the mountains. There is a stop on the 40 with a "rally road" for those participants that wish to rally, and don't care about their paint and tires...hhmm..like me! can definitely do so...let me tell you right now, it's a blast!!

The whole day should put us back at Calgary between 7PM and 9PM.

I hope that those coming from Calgary AND those staying the night in Calgary will come out for supper as a group, maybe Shanks?

I am already excited about the event, and hope to see you all soon.

Regards,

Vance Law

90210brandon July-24th-2003 01:06 PM

I am still planning to come. I'll keep you all posted on where I am going to go. Calgary, Banff, Edmonton....(haha). I'll let you guys know. We WILL meet up. Miss you all (y'all)...hehe.

Maxx Mazda July-25th-2003 02:40 AM

Hopefully I'll have this taken care of by then.

skyhawk174 August-7th-2003 10:15 AM

So our holidays are changed so we can do this MITM meet. Here is our info:

Name: Chris Aleong
E-mail: chris174@shaw.ca
Car: Vivid Yellow P5
Number of people planning to attend (including yourself): 2
Where you are coming from: Edmonton

As we get closer to the day we should really confirm a meeting place so we can convoy as the Edmonton and Calgary group. That would be cool.

90210brandon August-7th-2003 04:58 PM

So far, I am on schedule to be there also.

Name: Dion
E-mail:
Car: Silvero P5
Number of people planning to attend (including yourself): 1
Where you are coming from: Not sure. Vancouver, Surrey, Kelowna, Kamloops maybe...seriously now...Vancouver.

Maybe we can meet in Golden, eh boys? Come on, you guys never do what I want......
:p

Funky Buddha August-8th-2003 01:37 PM

How bout Fernie? LOL..right on the ski hill.

Maxx Mazda August-8th-2003 07:19 PM

Gravel parking lot? I was there a month ago and they're all paved.

Protege_Joe August-13th-2003 02:38 AM

Ill be in LETHBRIDGE Alberta the 23rd..are you guys going to be down there?

90210brandon August-13th-2003 10:49 AM

Nope sorry Joe. Canmore is about 3 to 4 hours north of Lethbridge. I am probably coming the longest way of Vancouver to Canmore. Almost 1000km. Come on up if you have the time. Should be fun.
