cool, only 2 more......i have money ready. now what about those color options???

Roddimus Prime December-9th-2005 10:09 PM

Have to ask Ken. I had planned on handling all the details but he knows everything and I'd rather him just fill you in so theres no communication problems.

I'm going to be offering powdercoating on these for an additonal charge also and I'll get some prices together for that. Expact it to be a little bit since I've gotta pay for the coating and shipping again to you.

Ken@ProtegeGarage December-10th-2005 01:07 AM

if Matty is game to do powdercoating, thats fine with me. I will paint in pretty much any available high heat application and gasket/port match the runners for an additional charge

atticus1398 December-10th-2005 08:11 AM

def interested in powder coating. also pricing for portig and egr.

Roddimus Prime December-10th-2005 12:15 PM

powdercoating cost will be aprrox. $50 + shipping from me to you. At the time of the order you'll just let Ken know if you want it coated. He'll in turn ship everything to me, I'll coat it and then re-ship it back to you. Colors will probably be standard colors.... black, red, silver, yellow, white, etc. If there is a specific color you want let me know and I'll let you know if I've got it or can get it.

Leonardo December-10th-2005 02:48 PM

what are the advantages of powdercoating an engine component over high temp. paint? (sorry if this is a dumb question)

Roddimus Prime December-10th-2005 03:02 PM

uh....well, lot more color options for one. Also powdercoating lasts a lot longer and is easier to clean. Think of it like a cars paint job. Spray paint is like a basic coating and powder is like a good paint job with lots of clear coat.

Leonardo December-10th-2005 03:48 PM

"powdercoating lasts a lot longer and is easier to clean" - thats what i was wondering. i guess i would be in for the powdercoating depending on the shipping. (78201)

Roddimus Prime December-10th-2005 04:18 PM

i'd guess about $10-15 depending on if I'm able to re-use the packaging material they come to me in. It's really only the materials that cost me money.
