what is "hallow internal structure"? do you mean HOLLOW? How can something that is hollow be stronger than something that is solid?

kuuligan April-14th-2004 10:35 AM

I'm sorry, I meant hollow, not hallow ;)

Do a search on google, but its merely physics.

Its been proven that a strong hollow bar is more rigid than a solid bar. Another words, the solid bar will be more prone to flex than a hollow bar.

thanks
chris

Roddimus Prime April-14th-2004 10:40 AM

huh, ok, I'll look into that.

kuuligan April-14th-2004 10:46 AM

Actually, there is a correction again. Hollow is more rigid than solid, but I was just informed again that it IS "hallow".

Hallow refers to a rectangular, but hollow structure, which is actually less prone to flex than a hollow and round frame.

I apologize for misguiding you previously. As I mentioned, these are brand new products so I am still learning all their benefits

I will post pictures up describing hallow structures.

Sincerely
chris

Roddimus Prime April-14th-2004 10:48 AM

rectangular and hollow I can see as being stronger!! That is a big difference, it's the difference between tube frame and box-end frame!!

sounds nice, good luck.

kuuligan April-14th-2004 11:09 AM

hehe thanks! I have seen the actual products, really good quality and good looking.

Here are some pics of hallow structure.

I noticed there are more parts than you mentioned on CorkSport's website. Do you have a complete list of the GT Spec parts?

kuuligan April-21st-2004 12:29 PM

Bump for special pricing...:)

The GT SPEC parts for the Mazda Protege has all been listed out by me in this thread.

Could you tell me the website that has more parts?

Thanks,

Chris

gcs118 April-21st-2004 03:32 PM

www.corksport.com

kuuligan April-21st-2004 03:46 PM

We have the whole inventory for GT SPEC products, but unfortunately, our range of components are not as much as cork sports.

We do not carry the same type of goods. I do not see Cork sport carrying as much variety of handling components as we do.

Thanks,

Chris

kuuligan April-23rd-2004 01:58 PM

bump...

now with FREE SHIPPING and extra 12% DISCOUNT for Protege drivers! ;)

Please PM or email me before the discounts/sale ends! I am certainly interested in many of the products. I have to focus on graduation and the conclusion of track season, not to mention life's other fun problems. I can't seem to find the Protege parts on your site either...could you please post a direct link? Thank you.

I thought there was a rear tie bar that would be under the vehicle? Are you selling the lateral arms by chance?

kuuligan May-6th-2004 09:22 AM

Unfortunately, we do not have have rear lateral arms yet for the Protege.

Thanks for your interest.

Chris

Do you know when they come in?

kuuligan May-6th-2004 04:48 PM

Not anytime soon.

We now offer a trunk cage set. I posted it on a separate thread.

This will help eliminate alot of the understeer that FWD cars have while keeping your rear end flat during hard corners.

I've got the 21.5mm AWR rear sway bar, so I'm looking for a little more stiffness up front to make for a more neutral handling vehicle. I really don't want to go through the hassle of installing a front sway bar. The front lower tie bar and ladder look to be useful...I'm still gathering ideas for what I want though for end goal.

kuuligan May-6th-2004 05:20 PM

If you want to improve stiffness up front, a lower tie bar or the ladder bar would be a step in the right direction. Having those two together might make your car extremely stiff and run too flat up front and allowing understeer.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks,

Chris
