i have a 2002.5 PR5 with the 5 lug wheels...brembo slotted and cross drilled (didn't know there were other types)

Roddimus Prime July-4th-2004 10:07 PM

matty, i'm down for this. :P

just please make sure that i can order these for the mp3.

:D

Roddimus Prime July-6th-2004 10:31 PM

I'm going to check as best I can to verify that these will fit without problem on an MP3/MSP. It honestly should because there is less than .21" difference between the stock ES rotors and mp3/msp rotors.

Without a set of the rotors in my hand and a mp3/msp in front of me I won't be able to gaurantee anything. What I had planned on doing was checking the factory quoted measurements for the rotors and comparing them to what I've got. I highly doubt there will be any problems though. We're only talking about a fifth of an inch. that is minute.

Matty, what is the diameter of the 4 lug discs? Do you know if they are the 9.2" or the 10.2"? If they are the 10.2's I may be interested.

Roddimus Prime July-8th-2004 05:50 PM

good question, I'm not sure. I'll see if I can find out.

Isnt it usually recommended to get new pads with new rotors? If so, im thinking of getting ebc greenstuff or hawk pads. Any suggestions?

Roddimus Prime July-8th-2004 10:49 PM

yes you will want new pads with new rotors. Many people think a pad looks good when in essence it's actually formed itsself to the tiny variations in your used rotors. You always want a smooth, flat rotor and a smooth flat pad.

I'm partial to the Raybestos Performance Plus pads. They have 0 dusting and a "no-noise" guarantee. They aren't track duty pads but they are ceramic and only a few dollar more than standard pads. The 0 dusting will help keep your wheels clean.
