1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys, offering another GB. **edit**
BREMBO SLOTTED/CROSS DRILLED ROTORS, front AND rear.....4 OR 5 lug patterns....$200shipped in the lower 48.

Previously I had only stated this was for the 5-luggers but my supplier also has the 4-lug rotors in stock and ready to ship. This is just about the only brake upgrade I know of for the proteges shy of the $2K "big brake kits" that no'one has!

Shipping will be handled via UPS ground and should take about 3-5 just about anywhere in the lower 48. We need 10 buyers for this to go through. If you know anyone looking for a great brake upgrade this is it!

* CROSS-DRILLED/SLOTTED

* SAME SIZE AS YOUR STOCK ROTORS, DIRECT FIT

* NO MODIFICATION REQUIRED, PLUG AND PLAY

* FULLY COMPATIBLE W/ STOCK BRAKE PADS, LINES, CALIPERS, AND WHEELS

* ZINC PLATED (SILVER)TO PROTECT FROM THE NATURAL ELEMENTS

* DISPERSES GASSES, CLEANS PAD FOR BETTER "BITE"

* CNC MACHINED FOR PRECISION AND BALANCE

* CHAMFERED DRILL PATTERN

*pics of 4-lug rotors available via e-mail "perrymuk@bellsouth.net"

1. GNO -- 5-lug S+CD *PAID AND SHIPPED*
2. Macdaddyslomo -- 4-lug S+CD

4. BlackBeauty -- 4-lug S+CD
5. HurricaneP5 -- 5-lug S+CD
6. Jaje -- 5-lug S+CD
7. ZG77_OzZ -- 5-lug S+CD
8. Roni -- 5-lug S+CD (mp3) *PAID*

10. Todcp -- 5-lug CD (p5) *PAID AND SHIPPED*
11. Mylowpro5 -- 5-lug S+CD (p5)
12. Anarchistchiken -- 5-lug S+CD *PAID*

GB will go on for as long as it takes to get 10 buyers. Previous payment rules apply... my paypal (NO CREDIT CARDS!!) is "perrymuk@bellsouth.net". Please add $6 to cover paypal fees. I will also accept money order for $200 straight up. If you send a personal check I better know where you live!

I'm also going to see what kind of deal I can get you guys on performance pads as well. Just let me know what you want and I'll hook you up.

On a side note I'm going to ask for $1 to be added to each set ordered. This dollar will go directly to Protegeclub.com and to their new and future upgrades. I'm going to do this on all future GB's I do on here to thank them for the forum. This is not mandatory but it is wise to support the people who support you. Thanks.

I bought similar rotors off a guy on ebay and they didn't last me six month, the box also said Brembo

Roddimus Prime June-21st-2004 08:28 PM

what do you mean they didn't last you 6 months? The only time I've seen a rotor become damaged is either due to a pad-wear indicator scratching them beyond repair or someone making hot laps or auto-crossing frequently.

I've not seen rotors just "go bad". I have seen poorly drilled rotors eat up pads sooner but these have chamfered drills.

AzianDragonz June-21st-2004 08:35 PM

my bad, i meant the pads wore down real quick and destroyed my rotors, i'm not trying to kill a sale here, please forgive me.

Roddimus Prime June-21st-2004 08:39 PM

ok whew!! just wanted to make sure we were on the same page. The vendor I get these from ONLY improts brembo's and has them CNC machined here. they are quality pieces.

Roddimus Prime June-21st-2004 09:16 PM

bump for edits....now available for both 4-and-5 luggers on the 3rd gen (99-03). Sorry 2nd gen guys, I don't know about fitment on your cars.

Phantom Cruiser June-22nd-2004 10:27 PM

hmmm...very interesting.

Roddimus Prime June-22nd-2004 10:43 PM

I don't see you singing up Phantom...you know you want them!! Check to see if they fit the miata also!

Matty Mooling June-23rd-2004 06:53 AM

I'd be interested but I just moved into my apartment and don't really have the money right now.

Roddimus Prime June-23rd-2004 08:00 AM

well, I need a minimum of 10 buyers before the buy will close. Seeing as how I dont even have one yet there is still time.

rktktpaul June-23rd-2004 10:12 AM

Can they not be slotted? I hear slotting the rotors really kills pads.

well...that's if i want a "matched set". i already have the powersluts on the front and they seem to be doing well. also, those pics of the rx-8 wheels on the car made me consider BIGGER brakes...so, basically i'm undecided. :D

Roddimus Prime June-23rd-2004 05:45 PM

Paul, I believe I can get you a set drilled only but it may take a little longer after the buy ends. Just let me know if you're serious and want to sign up based on that fact and I'll make it hapen for you captain.

Phantom, you wanting to spend the dough for those big brake kits?? There are other/better ways I could spend $2K+ on my car!!

wanting? needing? no and no. i've got other plans in the works right now:D tee-hee-hee!

Roddimus Prime June-24th-2004 01:23 PM

uh oh, sounds sinister!! Does it involve the scooter?!?! I've got a sneaky pete nitrous kit I'd love to spray on that scooter!!

GNO June-25th-2004 10:06 PM

Is the machine shop doing the drilling and slotting?

$200 shipped is tempting. I need new rotors anyway.

Roddimus Prime June-25th-2004 10:19 PM

Yeah, the supplier is a brake super-center who only specializes in brakes. They import these rotors from europe I believe and do all of the machining in-house....they can leave the rotors plain or drill or slot only but the items in stock are pre-drilled and slotted. These will ship as soon as the buy ends...if you want special requests they will start the work when the buy ends and you may have to add a week or so to the time.

Come on GNO, help a brutha out!

GNO June-25th-2004 11:56 PM

Gotta do my price shopping first, brada!

Tirerack - $54/ea (no slots or drill) + shipping

Performancerotors.com - $90/pr +$75 for drill and slot ($55 for one or the other)

hmmm . . . count me IN!!! :D

1. GNO 5-lug S+CD
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.

rktktpaul - the slots do more for performance than the cross drilling. Performance vs. Pad longevitiy? Get a set of "lifetime warrany" pads and replace as needed.

Roddimus Prime June-25th-2004 11:59 PM

sweetness....yeah Paul you better get in on this....this and my gamecube games!!

oh also, be sure to specify exactly what you want...4-lug, 5-lug, S, CD, S+CD

macdaddyslomo June-28th-2004 08:21 AM

4 luggers only need 2..no rear disks...please provide a price, thanks!

Roddimus Prime June-28th-2004 08:42 AM

waiting for the reply email now!

Any of you guys interested also interested in pads?? Any aprticular type? I'm partial to the Raybestos Performance Plus pads...they are dustless and noise-less. I know a lot of import guys prefer EBC green stuff though. Just wondering if anyone was interested in a rotor/pad bundle.

Roddimus Prime June-30th-2004 04:15 PM

bump to the top.....should find out about the price for a pair for the 4-lug guys tonight.

Anyone interested in linking other forums here for this would be appreciated. The more people the better. Right now we're 1/10th of the way there!!

GNO June-30th-2004 08:52 PM

I'm interested in pads. EBC green stuff or maybe Hawk HPS. I just changed the rear pads and the front still have quite a bit of meat left. Since there hasn't been much interest showing on the board yet, I'm willing to wait a while. Especially, since I dropped 10x more cash to finish off my header install on my truck. I planned on spending about $50, ended up dropping close to $500. I hope I get a raise soon!!!

FWIW, when I upgraded my brakes on another car, I only did it because I came across a good deal and thought, "what the hell, why not?" Afterwards, I noticed dramatic improvement. I enjoyed driving even more. When I took the vehicle on a road course, it was a blast to drive. Having a great brake package is definitely worth it. So for those just lurking and thinking, "I don't need better brakes". Think again!!! After doing my last brake upgrade, I fell further in love with the car (sick isn't it?).

Roddimus Prime June-30th-2004 09:32 PM

great info GNO. I'm going to check for prices on pads for you now. I'll also get some prices for the Raybestos as they are my faves.

I'm still waiting to hear back about the 4-luggers who only need 2 rotors!

Anarchistchiken July-1st-2004 06:49 PM

If you wanted to give me some, that's be cool. But I just aint got the cash right now. Sound system, accident, and Magnaflow cat back will do that to ya.

Roddimus Prime July-1st-2004 07:05 PM

if you had bought the OBX catback like me you woulda had extra money to buy rotors!! With the insurance check you should have plenty to upgrade your car with when you repair it. Look at Macdaddyslomo....he's doing it right!!

macdaddyslomo July-2nd-2004 08:25 AM

updates??

Roddimus Prime July-2nd-2004 09:03 AM

the front rotors for 4-luggers are.......$95 shipped!! woo-woo!!!

the pads they offer are generic metalic pads and not worth even the low price tag.

macdaddyslomo July-2nd-2004 09:07 AM

count me in....there's a similar deal on ebay, but you beat them after the shipping, plus a better brand rotors....why does everyone on ebay try to rape you on shipping?....

Roddimus Prime July-2nd-2004 10:06 AM

sweet, I'll add your name to the list.

Ebayers like to advertise their item at a very low price and rape you on shipping so they make their desired income. I buy a lot of video games off ebay and when you ship a single game USPS Media Mail it costs $1.25 anywhere in the lower 48....people charge $6-10 for shipping??? WTF??!?!!

macdaddyslomo July-2nd-2004 10:13 AM

even Nopi tried raping me on shipping..they wanted $90 to ship a bumper from Atlanta to Tampa...Corksport is charging me $60 from Seattle which is about as far in the continental US as you can get from Tampa! And corksports is better looking, made of urethane and OEM mazda equipment...sorry for the threadjack

Roddimus Prime July-2nd-2004 10:49 AM

hahaha, no problem!

protospeed July-2nd-2004 07:11 PM

does the application fit the mazda speed protege?????

Roddimus Prime July-2nd-2004 07:15 PM

The fronts will fit, the rears on the MSP are larger than the other proteges...this is really the only real brake upgrade on the Msp...that and the powdercoated calipers!!

protospeed July-2nd-2004 07:16 PM

how much for just the front pair?

Roddimus Prime July-2nd-2004 07:18 PM

on the 5-lug sets I'm only doing all 4. I MAY be able to get just a front pair on the 5-lug. Let me ask the supplier and see.

protospeed July-2nd-2004 07:33 PM

ok cool i am interested...

Roddimus Prime July-2nd-2004 11:12 PM

I believe (have'nt gotten official word yet) that they will be $95 shipped as well. I know you jumped on from another forum which is cool so tell everyone you know about these. I need a minimum of 10 orders for these prices....if I get less than 10 then the price goes up slightly.

Roddimus Prime July-2nd-2004 11:23 PM

bump, got another buyer....step up fella's a great buy here...cheaper than anywhere else.

Stock replacements are $65 a piece....these are less than $40 apiece

BlackBeauty July-3rd-2004 08:04 AM

I'm in for the 2 fronts for 4 lugs.
