Unless someone has a bunch of cones, and knows of some private property somewhere they wouldn't mind a bunch of cars speeding around (liability issues), I think it's going to be very hard to stage our own autocross. The next best thing to me would be a place to do any work that anyone wants done on their car. What do you all think?

speedypt June-26th-2002 12:55 AM

I think Kory's place may be in demand!

Kory...how about staging the meet at your work? Are there lifts or anything else that would make this a good place to have a meet? Eric...what about near you? Anyplace there where they don't mind us turning a wrench or two?

Regards,

Pete

I'll try to have answers Fri. night!
Plus theres a new suprise going down on the mp3!!!!
{hint....I'm gonna need a new alternator......hmmm.}

Hey Yall,
Keep me informed on where it's gonna be at this time, i've been busy and check the message board every soo often.

And I already found the next car i'm gonna buy, but it's not a Protege, sry guys..LoL. It'll be a brand new Pontiac GTO, when it comes out in 2004, i can wait!!!!!

Eric F June-27th-2002 08:36 AM

There are some good places to have the meet not too far from me. I have plenty of tools which I could bring, or if the mods require a garage we could head back to my house. If Kory can think of a place in the city, it might be better for the people coming from Indiana and Michigan though.

protegeboy78 June-27th-2002 05:26 PM

hey just curious but i just bought a strut bar (coming in the mail) and was wondering if its something i can put on myself or something that i can't safely do it and should wait till i can get help.

ILMP5 June-27th-2002 05:41 PM

chitownmp3 June-27th-2002 07:54 PM

Boss man gave the no go ! insurance purposes. So I'm workin on my buddy with the shop!:p
I'll keep you all posted.
If all else fails I can bring pretty much any kind of tool we would need to a wrenching session.Even to put on a strut tower brace;)
Sorry dude had to get that in.they are easy to install.

protegeboy78 June-28th-2002 06:42 AM

thanks, i just wasn't sure since one of the places i looked at them it said something about having a shop do it and not yourself, but i prefer to do most mods myself just cause its fun. I'm hoping to add a tach though and that is one thing i'm pretty sure i'll need a little help on.

Yes, I think we've settled on July 21st at 11am. Location is either in Chicago or the near North burbs.

SLPRprotege June-28th-2002 12:05 PM

Sounds good to me.
I think all that I will have to do on my car is running the wiring for the soon to be coming, kenwood amp.

Green Skanka June-28th-2002 10:43 PM

wrenching session aye???
Well in that case, i'm still debating wether to get some new springs soon, and if i do get new springs, do i have to get new shocks too, or can i keep the old ones?????
