I recently joined the club and I'm researching into a 1st gen Protege. The Protege will be my winter car this winter and hopefully next summer I'll convert over to an autox vehicle. I'm still trying to decide (and research) whether I want to go for an AWD or going an LX. I'm not sure how much I'd trust myself trying to do an engine swap, nor do I know if I want to budget that much money towards my second car.

As for my first car, it's a 2002 Ford Focus ZX3. My initial plans were to AutoX that car and bring it to some AARRF events. However since a friend of mine flipped his car car last year and with an M3 recently rolling, I don't want to lose my car, not have an insurance claim, and pay 3 years for a pile of scrap metal.

After working on my friend's 1990 Protege, I'm very intrigued with it's potential and was impressed at how well the vehicle handled.

That's about all I have for now, see you guys around..
