Thanks Evil Homer, I love the color. It's tough to keep clean but its worth it.

35% all around?!?! That can't be legal?

In Ontario it is..
and you can have the back windows as dark as you want them.
but with the front's, i'm not sure.
i hear its up to the cop's to give you a ticket if they feel they can't see you or some **** like that...

Nice Car....

You got the same color as me!!
And you are right... it is tough to keep clean...
I end up washing mine like twice a week!!

It is illegal in alberta to have tint on the front windows...

but you do see lots of cars on the road that do have tint on the front... Most of the people that I know that have it say they have only run into problems if you are getting pulled over for something else...then you will usually get a ticket for it aswell... and a warning to take it off...

Maybe try going a little lighter on the front windows.. that way it isn't so noticeable...
I think i am getting mine done next week... that is what i am going to do....

Thanks 130hp, I was thinking of getting a similar combination only darker in the back (15%, 35%).

I'm sure I am ZZOOOMM, it sooooooo much fun to drive. I love it.

Thanks spikyC, I liked the silver but I wanted something a little different. Silver and yellow are way too popular. Thanks for the tip. Where are you going to get yours done? How much? What % are you getting?

I also wanted to ask everyone about intakes. What are the benefits? Where do you get them? How much? Installation?

THe Place i am going for the tint is Aero Car Parts... They came on the board and made a deal for members of the board to get the whole car done for $205... and they do a really good job.. my friend got his p5 done there!!

There was a thread about this in the western Canada section a while ago http://www.protegeclub.com/forum/sho...&threadid=7202

I am thinking of getting 25% in the back and maybe 35% front or maybe even 50% so there will be no hassle from cops!!

Intakes will give you a little more power and make the car sound so much better!!

If you go and see shane at Jb's on fort road he can hook you up with a Ractive for about $110.. it's easy to install yourself... will take you about 30 min to an hour... I have never worked on cars in my life and i put it in myself no problem..

He is someone that is good to talk to about any mods....

Also have you checked out the Western Canada part of the board... that is where most of us Edmontonians Hang out!!
You can get a lot of good info of where to get stuff in the city there... and also check out when we are going to have our next meet!!

Thanks so much for your help.

The Place i am going for the tint is Aero Car Parts...
I'll have to check out this Aero Car Parts. I just wonder how much of a deal that really is. I might give that European place on Calgary Trail a call as well.

Intakes will give you a little more power and make the car sound so much better!!
What does the intake do to your fuel mileage?
I'll go and talk to Shane but it might be good for you if I mention your name, who should I say sent me?

Also have you checked out the Western Canada part of the board... that is where most of us Edmontonians Hang out!!
I have posted in the Western Canada section before but this time I wanted to post my pics. I'm looking forward to gettting together with all the P5 owners in Edmonton sometime. I would like to hear those 10s you got in the back as well...they must pound.

Shane is actually LowPro5 on the board.. i beleive you asked him to post pics of his car in the western canada section.... Just tell him that you are from the board, or you can tell him that i sent you as well...

He has an AEM intake installed on his car... But they are not going to give you that much advatage over the Ractive... and the AEM sells for about $400 compaired to $110 for the Ractive!!

He usually works everyday except tuesdays and they are open Monday to Saturday until 6:00.

I could also meet you there if you want to see what the ractive intake looks like and how it sounds after it is installed! I can get there after 4:30 mon - friday... or on saturdays i am usually free... just let me know when you plan on going...

It would be great if I could see/hear it before I spend the money. We should hook up on a Saturday sometime and I'll take a look at your car, then I can decide wether or not I'll go and pick it up.

Thanks NegatiZE. Ya, it's a Powershot A40!! Very happy with it so far. The quality of the pictures it takes is probably the best in its price range. I'd highly recommend it
