2007 Mazda 3 2.0L won't move in drive

My 2007 Mazda 3 2.0L goes into limp mode when I gear into drive. It shifts to P,N,R pretty smoothly but when I shift to "D", it roughly stutters and goes into limp mode and automatically into 2nd gear. It won't move at all and just revs, but my reverse works fine. My AT light is on but no engine light. I changed out the trans fluid/filter and "D" and "E" solenoids. I was going to replace the TCM but doesn't look like I have one under the battery box.

Any suggestions or anybody else have similar issues?

Hello, I have exactly the same issue right now. Did you happen to figure it out or get a reply back? I changed my output and input shaft sensor and wasn’t it. TCM I learned is embedded into the PCM in this model and year.
