05 mazda 3 2l manual,sat x 8 weeks,started up ok,but i am unable to move the gear shift ,let clutch out and get a grinding noise,car does not move,any ideas?

 

can't move the gearshift at all sounds like something rusted in place, possibly the cable linkages that lead from the shifter to the transmission. You can easily pull off the boot around the shifter & see the linkage ends.
