revs and jerks trying to shift
My girlfriend's 2000 Protege with automatic and 1.6 has only 35,000 miles. It is a nice economical commuter.
Now it is having trouble shifiting.
Recently it started to rev-up and jerk when accelerating between 1st and 2nd. This happens when flooring it, not under easy driving.
If you let off the gas quickly it shifts, sometimes straight to 4th.
Then you can push the gas and it will down shift into 3rd.
The fluid was low, but it still does this with proper levels.
What about bulletin 06012004 for the transmission control module?
Or bulletin 0100501 for TCM?
