Brakes
#2
While it is possible to do with conventional tools there is a special brake caliper tool which you need to compress the rear piston. The thing is you can't just push it straight in like you can with the fronts, rather you have to turn it while compressing it. Harbor Freight sells the tool for about $20 and it will only take about a minute or two to compress the piston with it. Also some auto parts stores will rent out the tools so check with them if you don't want to buy. I just went ahead and bought it as I figured I'd be doing another brake change down the road so why not?
This is what the tool looks like attached to a caliper. It also comes with a bunch of adapters to fit other manufacturers, however the tool itself fits the 3's calipers without an adapter.
