Should I tune my '93 LX or buy a Pro MazdaSpeed?

I don't know what makes the most sense, keep my LX running and running fast for a long time, or should I just let it die after 300K and buy the new turbo protege? My car currently has 148K miles and is running fine. So far I've added a Pioneer CD player, K&N FIPK, strut tower bars, and a custom exhaust with 2.25" tubing and a Dynomax muffler, which relced my rusted-out stock exhaust. It only needs the A/C to be either fixed or removed (weight savings) and some cosmetics.

If I went ahead and just replaced things that break with better things, over time I'd have a little black sleeper with a BPT, Limited Slip, a fully adjustable suspension, bigger brakes (if I can find anything that works), 17" wheels and performance tires...pretty much all the cool **** we first gen owners want. Or should I just keep saving up my money and get the MazdaSpeed special in the future and let my little car rot to peices? What makes the most sense?

I went through the same thing....

Just ask yourself how much you really love your first Gen protege, and how it never let you down...........that should give you an answer to your question
