I put a Mini Disc into my PC and I can't get the optical drive to open again. It seems to be jammed for some reason. Anyone here know how to get that sucker outta there?!

If mini cd (my guess), is your CD drive a tray-load drive or a slot-load drive (slot load being.. like on a car cd player)?

Most slot load drives don't support mini-cds (all apple notebooks and the imac + mac mini come to mind), but some do (the only one I know of offhand is the nintendo wii drive).

 

It was a mini CD .. but I got it figured out. My PC has a tray instead of a slot but for some reason I wouldn't come out. I just kinda hit it and it popped out

Paper clip... Just bend out one end of a paper clip and place it in the small hole and push (I guess you could call it sexing, but that's a whole different topic). The tray shoud come out. If not, remove the drive, then remove the four retaining screws on the bottom, take the top off, and remove the mini CD.

 

or... take a big hammer to it...

I just hit it and it worked .. no hammer or paper clip needed
