What the heck is Hyper Black, it looks silver to me on every wheel I've seen online. Can anyone clarify?

Well when I've seen it I always just thought it was a deeply reflective black.. I dunno

 

Thanks, have had it for sometime but never enabled it. It was designed around my WarpSpeed series.

 

its just a deeper color silver if you hold silver next to hype black you can totally tell the difference.

 

hyperblack is dark silver, a stupid color, just go black

 

It isn't just a dark silver.. a dark silver would be.. I dunno, kinda like gunmetal.

Hyperblack is black but with a glossy metallic look. -- kinda like this black chrome coating picture:


Depending on the lighting, it can look black, ir can look like mercury, or it can be in between

It's actually a lot like black chrome, if you've seen that. Yeah it's chrome, but with a black base in there somewhere

Too chromey for me. I'd go with a metallic black or matte black if I was painting something black.

 

Yeah I most likely end up with a silver wheel or close to it. Everyones doing the gunmetal or different shades of blacks. Since my color is so bright, I think the silver would be more appropriate as to not make the wheels the main focus and more complimentary.

I've wanted these for awhile and I keep going back . It will be this style but color is up in the air right now.

I have a dark color, and silver rims. I think it looks sharp and contrast-y. Like you said, everyone is doing chrome or gunmetal. I think dark rims look good on white or silver cars (Kansei's for instance).
