Strut Replace ment Question

Yea, ive been lookin to replace all my struts so i can then get some lowering springs. What is the best kind to get? Ive seen the ZX2 Struts ($160 for all 4). Which are supposibly really good. But any one have a different opinion on a choice?

Yeah wrong thread but...

The Tokico ZX2 S/R struts are actually made to go with the Eibach lowering springs.

I had that setup on my 3rd Gen Escort and it was BEAUTIFUL, the car responded perfect. If you go with that strut set and the Eibach kit you'll have a nice set up. First-hand experience will tell you that.

i second that, can't beat the price to performance ratio. My eibachs are closing in on 10 years old, but the struts are rather new, a little less than a year. Great combo!

just to clarify, when these are refered to as ZX2 struts, they are infact a racing strut made by tokico, sold as a Ford OEM part. They are not the regular ZX2 OEM replacement struts.

If your going to install them yourself (the ZX2 or whatever you get) i have a complete "How-To" on my site.

to order the ZX2 S/R struts go to

yes you do care. as a regular strut will not handle lowered springs for very long.

There is a gold in town that does that!! He has it slammed but it bounces like crazy! oh well... I'm just waiting for the check from tha man so I can hurry up and get the zx2 struts (yes and bushings Gro) so I can slam my baby.

Should I get the front a rear sways bars before or after the set up is complete?
