Hey all-
Dont know if anyone remembers me... I was around here back in the beginning, but havent been around for a while...
Ive gone through a few cars since then, but still have my 02 protege5, which is STILL stock except i have a Short shifter now. Since ive sold all my other cars ive decided to finally do a little work to the protege and to clean it up as it is in TERRIBLE condition compared to how she was a few years ago when new.

Ahh i ought to change my sig now, that car has been gone for over 3 years now.. haha
oh ya the mods im doing to my protege5:
04 mazda6 17 inch wheels with BFG tires at 215/40/17
Tein S tech springs, tokico blue shocks (probably)
Tint
Autoexe grill
Full repaint with color sanding and buff!
Possibly a Intake and exhaust and header... we'll see, its my daily driver soooo

And yeah, you must not be kidding about the terrible condition if you need a repaint!
Forum is probably a little slower and more laid back than you remember, but the conversations are civil and if you ask a qustion, you'll probably get a knowledgable answer.

yeah so far ive noticed a huge improvement over when ive left as far as forum content as well as other things.
the paint isnt HORRIBLE but its rough to the touch, has its fair share of scratches and dings and other things... so my body guy is hooking me up. Also the stock wheels have seen better days because of all the snow and crappy winters its seen. And the tranny and clutch are getting there too... all for a car only at 56k, its pretty sad
