for past 2 weeks i been working as a detailer @ the Melbourne international Motorshow.... doin work for Mercedes, Maybach and smart ( u guys have smart cars there?? them lil cars that look like toys>>)



i saw the specs on that car and had a hard on.... 3 tonnes... V12, 6L, bi turbo... and does 0 to 100 in like 5 seconds or somefin... i was like holy shittt...... more pics will be up soon

very nice...I gave up on importing it...I'll probably still own one though when I convince the wife america has turned into a toilet and we need to leave.

whoops... there shouldn;t be an E in 3tons... LOL.... das how much it weighs... (das lke 3000kgs)...

lol dont start me on the dust.... the Exhibition center is freakin dusty... i use some Zenor Z6 and give it a quick wipe down... come back to the car 10 minz later and see dust already... we also had 20 mercs we were lookin after... the new S class... had 2 S500Ls.... and a CLS55AMG, SL500 and lots of other ones....

people love touching cars dont they... leavin grimey finger prints all over... and this red neck aussie ****** comes up2 me and goes mate wherez the cup holder in this hunk of crap (refering to the SL500)... i press a button and out comes 2 cup holders... he asks me how much.. i tell hm 300 000 dollars he walks off hehehehe

i got the job through the Oz Mazda club... one of the guys who sponsors the site got the contract for detailing merc so he wanted a few people off the forums... and next yr he has contract for ferrari as well.. which will be off the hook if i get asked back

and twin calipers on front breaks... man i saw it and went... DAMNNnn them breaks r as big as my wheels lol....

one thing which bugged me is the carbon fiber trim inside.... instead of wood... made the car look a bit cheap.... i mean the 57s is meant to be the sportier of the of 57.... but CF just doesn;t look right on a million dollar car

What kind/brand of detailing supplies are recommended by Maybach & Mercedes?

I know what you mean about the grimy prints left by people @ car shows. I once left my car for a weekend and when I went to pick it up it had NOSE prints on it....yuck!

 

nose prints?? yeh we had em too... because we locked up the SL500 on the last day people kept puttin their face right up2 window 2 see inside...

as for products used... merc didnt give a flyin F what we used... the cars all came in from germany 5 days b4 the show... and lemme tell u the mercs were fine! just a layer of grime and dust... but the matbach had serious swirl and scratch marks on it... we got the buffer out and fixed it up but geezus u shoulda seen it b4..

with the mercs we simply used water to wipe off the dirt and grime, then applied some polylack nano... which brought out a really sweet shine to the cars...

and after that for the finger prints/other crap we used Zeniors Z6 quick detailer.. spray on finger prints and wipe off and ur as good as new.. but towards the last new days of the show i just drenched one cloth in Z6 and had a dry one with me too... so just wax on wax off.. mr. miyagi style... it was much quicker hehe...

hehe so u guys dont know what smart cars are??? hehe lemme dig up some pics for u.... they r like little city cars.... funniest thing is their smallest car has detatchable side panels so u can change it with diferent colours when u want.... yes its plastic.... hehe
