MP3 strut bar question

Hey guys I have a chance to buy a strut bar off of an MP3. Will it fit my 03 LX? Also, he is selling it for $100, and he said he would ship it anywhere for $20.00 and even insure it for free. Is it worth it?

You can buy a brand new factory strut bar kit from www.mazdastuff.com for $115, and I think that includes shipping. It will have the relocation brackets for your cruise control as well. IIRC the only difference in the MP3 bar is the color (someone correct me if wrong, but MP3-yellow, P5-red and MPS-silver), the kits are silver (I have bought two of them, for my and my gf's cars).

Yes, it'll fit...IF he includes the brackets.
chief: your right about the colors.

If it's used but in very good condition, I'd offer $50 plus shipping, tops.
Otherwise by it from Mazdastuff, like the chief said.

Ok The guy with the mp3 Strut bar pm 'd me back asking if $70 bucks would work, sounds like a decent deal, but....he said that he just grabbed the bar and the bolts that went with it, he didn't mention anything about relocation brackets. would I be better off to just go new from mazdastuff?

Probably, since it won't do you any good without them and by the time you spent the money to get the brackets you're already back up to $100-$110 range.
