It's on

As mentioned in my ungrammatically-titled previous post, I got the Mazda sport muffler. The installation happened this morning, and it almost went flawlessly. I stripped a bolt and had to inlist the (newly purchased) Dremel to remove the old muffler. Every criticism I've read (and ignored) is absolutely true. It's loud. It growls and farts and has a nasty resonance at cruising speeds. I'm actually surprised it's not louder, when you consider the size of the canister and the fact that you can see straight through from the absurdley oversized tip to the inlet pipe! I used anti-sieze on the bolts, so I can take it off and de-bling the can (either brushed finish with sandpaper or blacked out with spray paint.) Pics. More to follow.

looks good. I had this muffler installed on my car by the dealer prior to buying the car. All these stock proteges don't sound like they're running to me. p.s. it'll drone on the interstate...get ready for it.

Yeah that N1 exhaust aint no joke. The hotter it gets the louder it gets. My 1yr old son hears me coming down the street before I get home and is waiting at the door.

do you guys take off your resonators or something? or is the muffler just loud? i have an obx-greddy evo replica axleback and it sounds great its deep but the intake is still louder than it which i like, it just makes the intake sound thicker....i was just wondering about this cuz everyone says their exhaust is so loud

Mine's all stock. I can't imagine how loud it would be without the resonator, sheesh!
