What tires should i buy?

Hello i have a mazda protege lx 2002 and i have to buy 4 new tires for it.

i live in miami and i'd like to know what tires you recommend me to buy for my car : thinking about the street , the weather ( TOO HOT), 15" alloy wheels.

I have on it Brigestone Potenza 195-55-r15. I'm thinking to buy Dunlop FM901 or Yokohama AVS e100. but i have rear these dunlop tires are too noisy.

i'd like to hear what you think about these tires or any other tires .

thank you very much.

Miguel

To improve handling, you can switch to a 205/50-15 tire that will be an acceptable fit on your 6" wide wheels. This will give you the advantage of a wider tread and lower profile and will be a substantial improvement over stock. The resulting speedo error will be minimal and won't be a problem.

Since you live in Miami, consider summer-only tires for best performance. I recommend Yokohama AVS ES 100's. They have excellent performance, wet or dry, and I have found them to be extremely quiet for a performance tire.

I have Firestones Fuzion 205-40-17s. And I have been very happy with them. They are rated to 130+mph and a 360 tread wear. Plus they are only 98.00

As a previous resident of Mia....you will want to look into something for the wet weather...you and I both know, it rains almost EVERYDAY during the summer....just get a good all-around tire!

I rode in a car with the yokohama's that goldstar suggested....I've never been on a radial tire that had that much dry grip. Never heard a chirp from them. They just stuck like glue.

p.s. the rule of thumb when buying tires is "Buy the best tire yiou can afford. It's all that holds your car to the road"

Yeah these are good tires I am running Firestone Fuzion 215-45-17 ZRI's on mine and they are pretty cheap and really good grip, but not as good as the Bridgestone Protenza's that came on the car (even though after 15,000 freakin miles they were wore out and cost like $150.00ea)
