Got Tax Refund?

Saw this on Club Focus, so I thought I would see what your thoughts were...

Basically, if you are getting a refund, what are you doing with it?

We are getting some money back from the Feds, but we are paying the state of Oklahoma a wee bit though. Funds will go to these fine entities:

1. Help keep 4 cars running in 2005 fund
2. Coalition for yearly Royal Caribbean cruises for K&S Racing Team
3. Project ZX351 Lives and Dies and Lives Again
4. Walters Family Humane Society, aka bring a kitten in from the backyard and get it vaccinated, neutered and declawed

and so on and so forth!

i'm expecting a good bit back this year as I've been paying about 10% over and above each check...plus my wife is a full time student whos loansa are 100% deductible, then we're married (credit), homeowers(credit), and all of the interest on our house is deductible. (big credit).

If I had to guess I'd be getting back about $4500 but I'm going to be conservative and say $2K.....that'll buy me my new CS exhaust, postert rims and tires and a new shop lift.

My wife will confiscate and pay bills.
If I'm lucky I might get a pair of Old Navy jeans...

That whole "being married and having a house" didn't work out quite so well for us...plus I didn't have quite as much student stuff to write off...but we did have some K&S Racing expenses that were tax deductible so all in all....at least we can get a vacation paid for this year and a new radiator for the Miata...and a new torque converter for the mini-stang *yay*

i may only get about 200$ (go me...sheesh) and i believe that all goes to bills. if my parents are ok with it, i might go into suspension/brakes/interior. parents dont want any engine mods until i get my liscense (2 months 13 days!).

I won't tell you all how much I am getting back, but it is a lot. The majority will be going towards keeping up with my alimony and child support until I can get the reductions needed due to my change in job (I got divorced in FL and got soaked, everyone only looked at one year of my earnings (highest in my life) despite evidence to show that my salary bounces around from year to year. Didn't help my ex is greedy.). Lest anyone think I am a scumbag trying to duck out on my responsibilities, the loss of my job was due to the company deciding not to renew their contract with my union (they went with foreign seamen).
