If you guys had the chance to goto a highly reguarded prep school or a tech school what would you choose?

I don't like the people at my prep school and they are not teaching (or have any courses) that interest me at all. but a tech school near me has soo many clases that i would be very very interested in, and dare i say it make school...FUN

so which one would you choose?

ummmmm the one that you wanna do, **** a prep school, all thats gonna get you is beat up, now tech school will learn you some skills.

It really depends on what you want to do with your life. Sorry to say it but a prep school ( with the grades to back it up) will always look better on a resume than a tech school.
If your thinking being a tech guy go tech, if you want to be the boss of the tech guys go prep!

Don't worry about happiness untill after you graduate and make bookoos of money!

Take it from me.....do what you want to do.

I went to private school and then went to college for a music degree.

If I had been in a different sector all those years ago I'd be further along with my "goals" now.

my parent's said i can't goto the tech school =( so i'm just going to start trying really hard and get good grades then if i still want to be a computer major then i will if not then i still have good grades to get me into a good college.

Prep school will be good on the resume if you want to be in MGMT, which if you want any advice, keep the grades up, learn the soft skills of business and make some money once your out of college...I went to a 4 year tech school, got my bachelors in Network Engineering, and make a decent living now. The thing is, I am currently enrolled in Management classes to learn all those skills that tech school does not teach, so that I can make some "real" money on down the road. Prep school all the way and some Muai thai lessons if needed.

Find out what you want in the long term out of your life. But, definately get your education. If you like technology, you can study engineering, and in the long run, not only will you be making loads of money, you will be able to design, and/or create what ever the heck you please. I was able to get my degree, and have a few small jobs where I could gain a true hands on experience. But like I said, get your priorities straightened first. You are already half way there, because you know what you want to do. Because most kids do not know what they want to do until 2 year in college or later, and that is a big waste of their time and money.

From the perspective of a parent, here's my .02:

My wife and I both have degrees from a good college, and neither of us ever thought of NOT going to college.
I have a 17 year old daughter who is a senior in high school. She has never liked school, or reading, or any of the academic things that my wife and I enjoyed at her age. She is getting her Cosmetology degree from a trade school.
At first, we were disappointed, but hey, it's her life, and she's happy with her decision. We never threatened her or said she 'must' go to college. I think it's the right thing for her.
Bottom line, do what YOU want to do. You can always get a college degree later. My Mom got her degree when she was 55 years old.
