Exclamation max tire size

I just purchased a set of 18" rims, whats the max size of tires that i can put on the car without rubbing and clearance problems. I have an adjustable coilovers system, i was thinking in the range of 225-40-r18 tires. would a 235-50-r18 fit? Also what are the best performance tire available. what do you guy think?

A 40 or 50 series would rub..Try more like 35's and you better turn those coilovers to the VERY TOP setting,or you will still rub..and no wider than 225's
