Lightbulb cable tranny

I was wondering if any one has converted there trany to a cable system instead of the hydrolic setup. I know that old 323's have this set up. but I am still going to fabricate my own set up so I hope its better than stock.any extra info would help.

I changed my mine and swaped in a g-series tranny instead w/centerforce clutch. I have good hookups out here in cali I got the tranny with only 45,000 miles on it. the car was rearended and it seems like it were brand new.
