About Supercharged P5

Message Edited:

Anyone know any P5 (with shiftable auto tranny) adding Supercharger or Turbocharge?

Will turbo charger hurt auto-tranny P5?

Yes, I have been thinking about it seriously.

Just not sure about should I choose turbocharge or supercharge.

The only options available for our car are superchargers, and the only guy doing one to an auto is giving up . check http://www.protege5.com , there are a good number of people with turbo kits there

To the best of my knowledge, there are no superchargers available. Over at www.protege5.com, "deckedoutmp5" and "pirana" are running turbos with automatics and love them.
If fact, "deckedoutmp5" has a thread on this board regarding his new found love.

I would guess that I would have one of the oldest turboed autos around for the 3rd gens. Ive had mine turboed since early last spring. Rough;y 40k on it since turboed by www.essentialspeed.com They make a great system for either auto or manual. No problems thus far.

I have been racing and regular driving, its not hard to get used to it. Invest ina tranny cooler for sure, keep an eye on your fluid almost daily and you will be fine. I dont recommend hitting high tq values with this tranny, there are other options but nothing even remotely cheap.
