Question Need help

Does anyone know how to rewire the headlight circuitry and wires of the Protege 5. I want to rewire my car so that it uses the high beams 9005 type as my DRLs instead of the low beams H7 type. This is because I plan to retrofit the H7s with an HID kit and don't want to use them during the day as daytime running lights to conserve their life. HIDs are used at full intensity even as DRLs because they only have one setting. Does anyone how to disable th DRLs completely also? Any help, advice or schematic diagrams would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Im not for sure but I think more power would be going to the highs and if you did the rewiring you could fry something. Just drive with your brights on all the time.

Thanks for your advice. I'm sure you are right because a stronger voltage will be going to the high beams and may fry the wire. I'll just leave them as it is.
